The City of Logan, home to over 234 different cultures. The Samoan community brings to Logan, Tatau, a unique, cultural method using traditional tools, the skill passed down generations. Tatau reflects family connections, ancestral lineage & uniquely Samoan. This presentation shares a renowned Samoan Tufuga (tattooist) within the Samoan Community, collaborated with LCC, to licence the 1st traditional Samoan Tatau studio in Australia. Showcase out of the box approach taken by EHO’s ensuring compliance with the PAS Act 2003, minimising risks of infection, enabling mastery & art of this important ceremonial tradition, Tatau Samoa to flourish in Logan.
