Projects in Australia have been conducted to determine the level of compliance of pre-packaged foods with the Food Standards Code. There’s a knowledge gap determining if pre-packaged foods from Asian Countries comply with the FSC. Without evidence Environmental Health Officers tend to believe, that Asian pre-packaged foods do not meet the requirements of the FSC. Having completed a Masters researching the knowledge gap determining the level of compliance, I will present information and data describing the comparisons between Asian pre-packaged foods and the FSC, the attitudes of surveyed individuals, and determining if allergens are declared.
