Description
The Kimberley is a world renowned tourist destination, however is in one of the most remote and least densely populated places in Australia. This poses unique challenges to the few Environmental health officers who work in often harsh conditions with limited resources, which requires EHOs to have a broad and dynamic range of expertise. We look to share our stories, including our role in the 2023 Kimberley Flood event, and how we work together to deliver Environmental Health Services across an area twice the size of Victoria, and why more professionals should consider a career in remote Australia.
