Being the first Female principal Health and Building Inspector in Western Australia, the first female health and meat Inspector in WA state Government and first female meat Inspector in Australia
She has forged ahead in male dominated workplaces such as abattoirs, wharfs, prisons, export markets etc to build up a reputation as a committed and well respected professional who has championed many changes at the health level and improved the status of women in the workforce

Through her strong advocacy for the community she has been consecutively elected as a Councillor in the biggest Local Government council in WA, City of Stirling as their eighth female
