Jayde is an Environmental Health Officer at the Gold Coast Public Health Unit, Queensland Health. She graduated from Griffith University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, and then a Bachelor of Health Science (Environmental Health) in 2021. She is actively involved in the environmental health profession, being the recipient of the EHA Margaret Hind Memorial Award in 2021 and Gold Coast Health Shooting Star Award in 2022. Although relatively new to the field with only 2 and a half years’ experience, Jayde has developed a strong passion for environmental health, particularly within the vape/tobacco space, where she takes every opportunity to share learnings with colleagues while also sharing her love for the profession as a guest lecturer for Griffith University.
