Enita Ostojić is a food scientist working as a senior scientific officer for WA Department of Health.
For the first 12 years of her career, she worked as a research and product development food technologist in the food industry in Australia and overseas, developing meat, dairy, and functional food products.
In 2003, she joined WA Department of Health with several key responsibilities including:
- assessing novel food, and representing WA on the national Advisory Committee on Novel Food;
- representing WA on the national Food - Medicine Interface working group; and
- dealing with daily challenges with unsafe food matters, in the role of WA deputy food recall action officer.
