Nico, currently a third year PhD candidate at the Menzies Institute for Medical Research is a MEnvHlth ('20) graduate of Flinders University, SA and a member of EHA (Tas). His PhD project is focused on school food policy, food safety/allergy and anaphylaxis management in school food environments and local food procurement. Nico is also a member of the School Lunch Project (SLP) Evaluation team at Menzies. The Tasmanian state-funded pilot SLP provides healthy cooked meals to students in Tasmanian schools. Nico has a background in Zoology, Veterinary entomology, and environmental health, and he is happy for an opportunity to come to Perth to present the allergy/anaphylaxis component of his PhD, connect with other environmental health professionals and learn with/from them.
