I'm an EHO of 12 years with Queensland Health who loves public health risk assessments, infection control, water and investigating and researching the unknown. I've lived on the Gold Coast for 22 years and love spending as much time as possible in the ocean. I regularly contemplate how we as a cohort of professionals (EHOS) can do better and increase our positive impacts on the world. We have all the tools at our disposal to do so. I hope to see this field expand into looking at the myriad of anthropogenic contributions into environmental changes that are driving many emerging EH issues so we are spotlighting and managing the full circle of environmental health from an educative frame that empowers communities and fosters internal capacity.
