Melissa works with the Public Health Advocacy Institute (PHAI) based at Curtin University. She has over 30 years’ experience in the fields of public and environmental health.
She has worked with all levels of government agencies, universities, professional associations and international Aid organisations, in Africa and New Caledonia.
Melissa is passionate about making a difference and describes herself as a practice-based researcher. Issues that are of specific interest include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, local government public health practice, advocacy, policy and mentoring future leaders.
