Dr Joey Rawson is a Senior Meteorologist with the Bureau of Meteorology with over 20 years experience. Joey has focussed his career on delivering value to customers and has been seconded to several organisations such as the Australian Defence Force, Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), and Woodside. Joey has been involved in many significant events such as assisting Woodside with evacuating personnel from all their offshore assets before a category 5 cyclone moved over the area; and helping DFES to take the necessary actions to be prepared for catastrophic fire weather conditions.
Joey now leads the Bureau operations for the Western Australian office with a primary role in assisting state government customers and WA communities in preparing and mitigating for weather hazards.
