Dr Andrew Jardine completed his PhD on environmental impacts on Ross River virus in inland regions of southern Western Australia at the University of Western Australia in 2007. He then undertook a Master of Applied Epidemiology through the Australian National University. Following this, he was employed as a Senior Epidemiologist for Queensland Health before moving back to Perth in 2011 where he has worked across a range of roles in the Department of Health including in the Environmental Health Directorate, Epidemiology Branch, Communicable Disease Control Directorate and the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre on the COVID-19 response in WA. He is currently Managing Scientist overseeing the Biological and Applied Environmental Health Hazards program in the Department of Health.
